                                                                  AFGHANISTAN                In my opinion, things were relatively stable in Afghanistan. U.S.A. troops presence there was  minimal, only about 3500 soldiers. For more than a year, there were no US casualties. There was no  emergency to trouble the untroubled waters.                Even if we wanted to get out of Afghanistan altogether, it could have been done in an   orderly manner, and with a  better negotiated deal.                                                               INFRASTRUCTURE                     After a long time, some bipartisanship has emerged in U.S. Legislature. An infrastructure bill  worth about one trillion dollars is under process and shows a promise of approval thru the legislature  and white house. If and when it is approved it will fulfill an important need of the country. More than  40% of bridges and roads in the country are in poor condition. They are badly in need of repair. This  project will provide employment to a large number of ordinary people, even those without higher  education.
