SOME PHILOSOPHICAL THOUGHTS
(1) Early humans imagined existence of some supernatural being or beings (one God
or multiple Gods) when they were awed by some large scale events like flooding
from rainstorm, gusting windstorm or wild fire. Fear of making these Gods
angry led them to worship them and desire of their blessings led them to offer
sacrifices to propitiate them.
(2) All scriptures are written by some human leaders of society, and not based on
divine revealation.
(3) Humanity has gradually, over years of history, progressed from living by the rule
of "Might is Right" to living by the rule of "Right is Might". This progress has
not been in a straight line (with many ups and downs), and is still incomplete.
(4) Human thinking and behavior have evolved from being guided by superstition to
being guided by science, though not fully.
(5) Ironically, inter-religious conflicts have led to many tragic wars.
(6) Blind faith means believing in something or somebody, completely devoid of
logical thinking or reason (without 'open mind').
